1925 Hobart M. Cable Player
Piano
The Hobart M. Cable Piano Company was established
in 1900 in LaPorte, Indiana. They were in business until the mid 1960's. At
some point, the Story & Clark Piano Company made the instruments for
resale by Cable.
This piano is my latest acquisition. As you can see
in the pictures below, the finish on the piano is really quite good. The
player mechanism needs a complete rebuild, but the rest of the piano is in
fine condition. This instrument came with it's original matching bench and
the original matching roll cabinet. The roll cabinet needs some touch up
work on the finish.
This should be a very fine player piano when it is
finished. I'll post more pictures of the player restoration as it
happens.
