The OLDPIANOS.COM
Antique Piano Trader Page!
Looking to sell a used piano? Looking for
that special used piano to buy?
This is the place!
As of 1/13/06, I have cleared out all of the listings, because people
list their pianos here, and then never contact me when it sells.
From now on, piano listings here will only be for 6 months. If you
want to extend that, e-mail me.
Please note! This page is a free service to hopefully get piano
buyers and sellers together. If you want to list your piano for sale here, or you are
looking for something in particular to buy, let me know and I'll get it listed.
PLEASE NOTE! I have no financial stake in anything listed
here, and I have no
first hand information on anything listed here. I do not advise or set
prices on listings. Please e-mail any questions directly to
the person making the listing.
Also, before spending a lot of money on an old
piano, I suggest you have the instrument checked out by a piano
technician. You can find a local registered technician by searching (by
zip code) at The Piano Technicians Guild website at www.ptg.org.
IMPORTANT FRAUD ALERT: MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHO
YOU ARE DEALING WITH REGARDLESS IF YOU ARE BUYING OR SELLING A PIANO.
I HAVE RECEIVED TWO NOTICES FROM SELLERS LISTED HERE ABOUT BEING
CONTACTED BY SOMEONE OFFERING TO PURCHASE A PIANO LISTED, AND IT TURNS
OUT TO BE A SCAM.
If someone e-mails you and offers to buy your piano (or any item you
have for sale, for that matter...) and offers to send you more money
than the selling price, BEWARE. This is a known scam. In
fact, click HERE for an actual e-mail that
someone selling their piano here received!
See
http://snopes.com/crime/fraud/cashier.asp for details.
Finally, please note that I
do accept donations via PayPal for the courtesy of listing a piano here.
Visit
www.paypal.com
and send your donation to me at

Many thanks!

Listed 5/1:
Player Piano, 1915. Beautiful furniture, mahogany veneer. Manufactured
by Kranich & Bach, and sold by Lechner & Schoenberger in Pittsburgh,
PA. It needs only to be tuned to play as a normal piano. The player
mechanism works with pumping the pedals to play music via punched-paper
rolls. The player portion worked until the 1980s, and probably doesn't
need much to fix. There is something awry with the bellows and/or
timing. We had many great family singalongs with this player in the
1970s and 80s. Includes a box of rolls, mix of old vintage rolls and
newer reproductions (QRS brand, mostly). $200, negotiable. Buyer to
pick up in Pittsburgh, PA (Plum Boro, eastern suburb). Call (412)
795-2948. Photos posted at: http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/fur/312374902.html
Listed 5/8:
Schmoller Mueller Upright Piano built in 1901
(according to serial number). Great condition, however, does need
approximately 5 hammers replaced and needs to be tuned. Appraised
in 1985 at $2,500 without tunning or hammer repair, and would
appraise at $6,000+ with tunning and hammer repairs. Piano keys are
in great shape. See it HERE.
Since I almost got taken by scam artists on ebay, I would only
accept payment via paypal, or a cashier’s check drawn on a
nationally recognized U.S. bank. Buyer assumes all shipping/pick up
costs. E-mail

5/21: 1916 Woodward upright grand "pneumatic scale with patent double
repeating action" antique player piano. It has been in the family for
at least 90 years. It has always been excellently cared for. The
serial number is: 26756. It works perfectly and appears to be a burled

Listed 5/21: Wurlitzer – Kingston
Baby Grand.
Painted Black over 20+ years ago,
covering some type of natural wood.
According to what I THINK the S/N
is, it was built between 1919-1920.
Currently “in tune”, tuned 2 weeks
ago, but will need all new strings, and perhaps
tensioners.
Could be quite striking if sanded
down, and given a glossy finish. Not sure what type of wood –
will find out and let you know. Has been in the same house for
12 years, and then the prior for at least as long.
Location: Simi Valley , CA ( Ventura
County – 40 miles NW of Los Angeles).
Reason for sale: MOVING and can’t
take it with!!! Been in the family for over 40 years.
Currently do not know
it’s value, but am accepting offers.
Time is of the essence, so if you’re interested you could “Get a
deal”.

Listed 6/23:
Very
Rare St Louis Piano Manufacturing Company 1886 Square Grand Piano, serial number 704. It is truly rare to find any
workable Square Grand, much less one that has been so carefully owned
and protected. There are many fine piano restorers that would love to
have the starting condition of this fine instrument. This instrument was
on display in the Alabama State House for many years, and was sold
through sale after a state renovation and expansion of the building. The
rosewood case is simply remarkable, and the internal conditions of its
working parts have been evaluated by a RPT of the Piano Technicians
Guild as absolutely incredible. You can (view
